The owner Mike is a very nice guy and a better chef. My friend & I arrived TOC, NM o/a 5:45pm Sunday evening. We ordered via the on-line website and Mike confirms your order via text message. Then he informs you how long it will take to prepare your food order and when you can pick up or he will deliver to you. Our lamb Gyros were thick and filled with fresh ingredients and plentiful lamb. We enjoyed the occasional tasty French fries too. Bottom line; his food is clean tasting, service was excellent and fast. Thanks Mike M & M

What a great treat for our small town of Truth or Consequences to have such a great chef. Have eaten there quite a few times over the last year. Best homemade pasta and the most heavenly sauce and meatballs. He is switching things up on the menu these days so I had gyro. Beautiful presentation, freshes ingredients and the tastiest homemade fries on the side. He's such a talented chef. Will be back. You can text and call to order if paying by cash-- he'll get back to you asap. Use his square site to see the menu and place/pay by cc. Remember, he's a one man show but super responsive and gives perfect time estimates to pickup or delivery Getting the Reuben sandwich next!

What a strange but delicious experience! When we passed the location earlier in the day, we didn't realize it was a restaurant. Signs on the door said Don't Knock and Do Not Enter. There are menus on the table outside when it's open, but we texted to ask about the menu since we were doing carry out. The owner/chef, Michael, responded quickly and directed us to the La Baracca Facebook page, with the menu items in the most recent post. We texted our order for the cheese tortellini and the hand rolled meatballs over fresh linguine and spumoni ice cream. It was ready quite quickly (20 min after ordering) and Michael brought it out---make sure to pay in cash. It was delicious! The tortellini especially was bursting with flavor, and you could see and taste the fresh herbs. The meatballs were hearty and the tomato sauce really let the tomatoes shine. The ice cream was a nice finisher but really the pasta was the star. It was a surprising amount of food, too! At first we thought it might not be enough but we were both full with a little leftover, which made for a nice midnight snack Definitely worth checking out!

Great experience and excellent food: It’s almost like a speak easy for dinner. Text the owner what you would like from the menu, show up with cash, and have a great dinner outside. We had pizza, calamari and pasta and all of it was perfect. Highly recommend and hope to come back to town again in the future once the inside dining experience is ready to go

We decided to order from here because of all of the amazing reviews. We were at the local TorC brewery and placed a pick up order. I was soon after met by a call from Michael, they were actually closed for the day due to the road this resides on being completely closed for construction. Michael was beyond wonderful and offered to come to the restaurant and prepare our order anyway, which blew me away. In our order we have two of the eggplant Parmesan dishes, although the dish is already prepared with plentiful thick cuts of eggplant, Michael was transparent in saying the dish is normally served with 3 slices and due to the closure there was only enough eggplant on premise for 2 slices each, I was more than okay with this yet Michael offered free cheesecake dessert for both us to make up for it. We accepted and I am just absolutely blown away by the customer service, taste of food, and efficiency between placing order and receiving (not even taking the fact that the restaurant was closed!! into consideration). We got the baguette’s with oil & butter, Caesar salad, tomato soup, and eggplant parm & each and everything EXCEEDED expectations. The micro greens in the Caesar gave the most high class feel to this meal, not to mention the made from scratch quality of everything. We visit TorC every couple of years for the hot springs and we will absolutely make a point to order from here every time from here on out.

There's something truly special about what Chef Michael is creating here in T or C. The food is spectacular. The personal connection is unlike any other dining experience I've had in the States. Chef truly demonstrates he listens to all patrons, and it's obvious he wants to cook excellent meals. Everything possible is locally sourced, fresh, and skillfully prepared - and lovingly artful. Highly recommend (& order early in the day)!

Mike is a fantastic executive chef who originally hails from Philly. GREAT food! Don't be fooled by the outside and having to text your order. Food is authentic and well worth it! When in Truth or Consequences, you MUST get food there! Tell Mike that Dan & Amber from Philly sent you!

I would have definitely given 5 Stars because what we ordered was very tasty! The pizza big, lots of cheese and sauce asked for it crispy it was not .. not a huge deal we just like the crust toasty. The chicken mushrooms was delicious but my wife said it had a little to much spices for her for me the more the better. The chicken was dark meat and my wife doesn’t like dark meat so she picked around it. For $29.95 it should have had at least a small breast cut up and maybe a little more pasta. Mushrooms were good amount! Should have taken pics. Next time. Which means yes we will be back and highly recommend giving Michael and La Baracca a try and hopefully do a 5 Star Review or update this one.
